Say Goodbye to Your Pores w/ Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub & Pore Cleanser

Hey Y’all,
Guess what! There’s a brand new skincare product in town. you guessed it, it’s Baking Soda!!  Sayyyy whaaaatt?! Dont worry, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you, you DID read that right. Let me introduce to you the one the only Dont be Dirty, Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub & Pore Cleanser! I received these items for free in exchange for an honest review, please read my Disclaimer page for further information.
Did you know that Baking soda is known for its ability to deep clean and naturally exfoliate? Biore Baking Soda cleansers dissolve dirt and oil while gently exfoliating dry skin. Pores come out clean and visibly tightened, while advanced cleansing and conditioning agents work to leave skin smooth and healthy–looking.
The Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub & Pore Cleanser duo works wonders. Make sure that you use both these products with a “wet” face.
The Cleansing Scrub is easy to activate. Simply add water to form the scrub. YOU  control the foaminess of your scrub by adding as little or as much water your heart desires. I would recommend just adding a little water at a time until you figure out the exact amount that you love. My skin was left feeling squeaky clean.
When using The Pore Cleanser, simply pump the cleanser into hands and work into a lather. Massage over entire face. Rinse thoroughly and voila ! I did prefer to use this over the Cleansing scrub. I am used to the easy “pump & wash off” system of my morning routine. However, I will be using The Cleansing Scrub once every couple weeks to help get rid of my pores. You know those little nasties never seem to want to go away.
Overall, I am impressed with Biore’s new skin cleansing products. It is definitely an item I would recommend to you lovelies and that I will continue to use! Till next time!

Memories stamped in time with Canvas Pop

The first thing I have to do when moving into a new place, is decorate the walls with all the possible photos and prints we have! So naturally, when the opportunity arose to work with www.canvaspop.com came up, I obviously jumped with excitement [ I may or may not have actually done this 😉].

I absolutely love capturing photos of our family, especially of Jayden and Abel. Growing up, taking pictures was a rare occasion. Our family, didn’t have the luxury of owning a camera, let alone a digital camera.   When we did eventually fill up the roll of film with our beat up disposal camera, we could barely afford to take the film to the local supermarket to get the photos developed!

Fast forward a couple decades later, I vowed that my children would have tons of photo albums filled with all their pictures! I know that seems like a lot and it was so I  stopped doing that. I felt guilty, but gradually with time, we have been introduced to digital photo albums that are ridiculously easy for us to access and thats where I store the thousands of photos I have [anybody else’s IPhone have low storage ALL the time?].

However, there are some pictures that deserve to be gazed upon at all times. You know, the ones that warm your heart from simply looking at them? The ones that you can’t wait to share with your family and friends!? The ones that remind you of how incredible that day was!?

Whats the story behind this photo? I was about to spend 30 days in Calgary, AB with Miguel’s parents. We wanted to have a day to ourselves. No parties, no dinners, no markets. Just us. We decided to head to New Westminster Quay. A place that brought both of us memories of family, fun and laughter. Miguel and I wanted to bring Abel there and take some photos. After playing around for awhile, Miguel captured this beautiful photo of Abel….Something had caught his eye, but what we saw, was our beautiful son’s eyelashes, his droopy cheeks, his curly hair, his pointy ears and his soft and pouty lips. He would never be this young again! This photo will be cherished for years to come!

With all the new technology around us, you can forget the importance of memories stamped in time with just a simple photo. Thats why I am so thrilled that one of you will be able to win a 16 x 20 canvas print from www.canvaspop.com stretched on a .75″ frame depth with free shipping within Canada, the USA and the EU! Enter by clicking on the image below, and following the instructions there. Good luck everyone!

Aibi watch review & giveaway

Hello Darlings!!!

So remember that sneak peak I posted on my Instagram  5 days ago about the pretty amazing prize you could win? Well my friends, the wait is over!! Have you ever heard of Aibi watches?!! If not, head over to the site aibiwatch.com and take a look at all the beautiful  watches they have to offer! (Aibi watch sent me this watch in exchange for an honest review, please read my  disclaimer page for more information.)

Did you know that I’ve never actually owned a watch before [insert shocked emoji]?! I always just used my cellphone to tell me what time it was, or if I didn’t have my phone on me, I would go to a random person with a watch on and ask them…I mean, I had no choice!

If you have been following along for awhile, you will notice that I’m all about the simple things. Monochromatic, black, white, and grey with hints of forrest green and maroon, is what I’m all about. So of course, I chose the Julia Engel design in Rose Gold so that I could wear my new Aibi Watch with all the beautiful colors that I own [LOL!].

Aibi Watches x Raisingjayandabel

So lets talk a little about these stunning watches!

Appearance:

I was pleasantly surprised when I received my watch. The Julia Engel watch features a large but minimal face with no numbers. Instead, you get to look at beautiful silver crystals that replace the usual numbers and two roman numerals that represent the twelve and six. The watch sits on a genuine black leather band and measures 8.5 inches long.

Build:

The build on the casing and the face of my watch is very high quality. It comes with a Stainless Steal caseback and is surrounded with a Rose Gold casing. The watch also has an adjustable Buckle Clasp and fits most wrist sizes!

Function:

Admittedly, I had a hard time setting my watch because I’ve never owned a watch before BUT after a few minutes of playing around with it I figured it out and was able to get my watch working. To set the watch, simply pull out on the dial until you see the little silver part of the dial. Don’t worry, you won’t break it. Once you can see the silver part of the dial, turn the dial up or down (whichever you prefer) until you reach the time you like and then push that dial back in! It should work perfectly !!

Overall:

I am absolutely loving my simplistic watch from aibiwatch.com. I’ve had my watch for a month now and I can honestly say that having a watch has been such a time saver [ pun intended] for me! Trust me, digging through my diaper bag to look for my phone to check the time has been such a pain! Why do our children need so many things?!

Burp Necessity REVIEW + GIVEAWAY

When Abel was born, I thought it would be exactly (or easier) the same when I had Jayden. I was so wrong. Not only are the experiences the complete opposite but I also had to relearn how to be a mom to a baby.

One major difference was that Abel was diagnosed with baby reflux. Reflux is the word to describe what happens when the stomach contents (food or milk) come back up into the mouth. Baby reflux happens because the babies digestive system hasn’t properly developed yet. When the babies stomach is full they tend to burp and spit up, which is normal. However, if your baby is projectile vomiting, constantly feeding and not gaining any weight then it’s probably reflux.

With every feed, I would use a new burping cloth. I probably used 5 a day! Abels reflux was that bad! When I would burp Abel, he would miss the burping cloth and I would end up with puke all over my clothes! The worse was when I had to burp Abel in public, I would literally have to pack extra clothes just in case because I didn’t want to walk around in public smelling like throw up.

Alas, I came across www.burpnecessity.com (on Instagram of course) and found my solution to all that laundry !

Burp Necessity, was created by Kathy Fitzgerald, who was sick and tired of using small, unflattering and inconvenient burp cloths that never stayed on. These burp shawls are not only trendy, but actually do their job. The burp shawls, sit on both my shoulders, covering my upper back( I’m 5’3 tall) as well as the front of my chest and then some. T O N S of coverage that isn’t offered by normal burping cloths (usually just one shoulder).

All Burpshawls, are handmade in Seattle, Washington, with 100% soft minky polyester. The trim is 50/50 cotton/poly and is prewashed to prevent shrinkage.

TIP: Simply reverse the Burpshawl and use the Ivory minky fabric side for a second look! The fabric is super soft against your babies skin!

I seriously wish I came across @burpnecessity during pregnancy because I would have 100% put their burpshawls on my baby registry and could have avoided all that stinky and dirty laundry!

Because I love Burp Necessity and their multi-functional burpshawls so much, I’ve partnered with them and we’re giving away a burpshawl away to one of my lucky readers!! That’s a $34 USD value! Please enter through the rafflecopter below!
