It’s been a while since I wrote something personal (again)… I know, I stink. SO to mend your woes, I have decided to share 10 #GIRLBOSS Quotes That Will Leave You Feeling Empowered. I came across the quotes during this new phase, I like to call “rediscovering” myself.
In recent months, I have started to make time for “me” again, whether it be blogging, taking photos, working out, going for drinks and yes even reading. In my younger years (I’m talking about elementary school people) I loved to read. I was a book worm. I read and read and read . I read every book I could get my hands on. Then I stopped. I’m not to sure what happened (probably puberty) and I don’t think I picked up and read a book that didn’t involve pictures, for at least 10 years.
Well, as life would have it, I was presented with an opportunity. The opportunity came from a uneasy situation, but nevertheless, it gave me the gift of time…. time for myself, time to rediscover who I am as person and not just “mom” to Jay & Abel.
I always wanted to read the book, #GIRLBOSS, which was written by Sophia Amoruso, the founder and CEO of Nasty Gal. I heard of the brand before, because a few of my girlfriends had bought items from her site. Actually, come to think of it, my first online order was from Nasty Gal. A pair of light denim, ripped, high waisted shorts, oh how I loved them. Anyways, long story short, I read the book and developed a girl crush on Sophia. Of course, I didn’t want to keep all her empowering words to myself, so I created a list of my Top 10#GIRLBOSS quotes from her book.
