You would think, being a “millennial” and “young” mama, that I….out of all people would be open to including more technology into our daily lives. But, If I am being honest, I have been totally against it. I don’t download games on my iPhone or my iPad, except in 2013 when I was obsessed with Candy Crush, sorry for all the Facebook life requests! After I reached the highest level I could, without paying for additional add-ons, I deleted the game and never looked back.

This post has been compensated by KidloLand in exchange for an honest review of their Nursery Rhyme App. As always ,all opinions are my own. Please read my Disclaimer Page for more information.

Whenever I think about my childhood, I remember spending endless hours playing outside, exploring, getting dirty, riding bikes and most of all getting into trouble. Yenno, being a kid! Naturally, I want my kids to have the same fun experiences that I had and not succumb to the “freedom” that comes when you give your children the iPad. Buuttt, I guess you can say that I have had a little change of heart. Seriously, two kids, full time job, full time blog, full time life, I needed to.

Well since technology is here and it is here to stay I want to make sure that I, as their mother, am making informed decisions when it comes to the apps they are using. Enter Kidloland.

Kidloland includes a variety of learning adventures including sorting, sequencing, matching, mazes, puzzles, learning shapes and much more. This interactive, educational app, makes learning fun and easy for your little! Recommended age is 0 to 5, but I do have Jayden “help” Abel use the app, since he’s become a wiz on the computer and because he is also the big brother [insert evil laugh emoji!] !  We have been using it for about a month now (we have the full subscription), and we still haven’t made it through all the options. I told you, I’m easing into having Jay and – especially Abel, on my iPhone or iPad for long periods of time.

What is long to me? anything over twenty minutes at a time.

The boys really enjoy using the Kidloland app. The animations are super cute, high quality and well drawn. The best part about Kidloland is that you don’t have to be connected to the internet to use it! Trust me, this is a HUGE plus for me. Not only are the characters cute but they make the game appealing to the kids and anything that makes the kids happy, makes this busy mama happy!

I got to say, I had low expectations when introducing this app to my boys. I am so skeptical of using technology to help my kids learn and I don’t even have a valid reason. I prefer textbook, hand outs, timelines, homework, hard copy. Old school shizzzz, and trust me…I’m not even old. As my good friend Angela said, times are changing, technology is the future and my boys are the future. So why not start them with a great educational learning app like Kidloland? Better yet, why not let your little start learning with Kidloand ? Well…..YOU can!  Click here if you want to download Kidloland !

I have teamed up with Kidloland to giveaway five 3 month subscriptions to five lucky readers! So you probably want to get on that 😉 Entering is super easy, all you have to do is enter using the Rafflecopter Widget below. The more entries you complete, the higher chances are of you  winning. That’s it! Good luck and don’t forget to have fun!

This is so cute!! My 2 1/2 year old loves learning and would benefit from this so much!! My 1 year old also really loves technology-always trying to steal our phones and laptops etc. so I know he would like playing with this app too. Thanks for the chance!

  2. Maria-Carla Atencio

I need to try this with my little one 🙂
    xo,

  3. Raising Twincesses

Going to have to let my Twincesses try out this app! I’m totally for technology that teaches!

  4. I’m so on the fence about too much technology for my kiddos too. I’ve slowly introduced the PBS app and limit it too. I try to only use it when I really need a break to get something done. I have to admit, he learns so much from them though that it makes me feel better about using them.

That app sounds awesome for Ainsley!!! Thanks for sharing about it!

  6. Melissa Rakestraw

I’m right there with you! I was so resistant to technology being such a part of their lives, but as you said being full time working as well as blogging and momin’ sometimes it’s just going to happen. I also really admire how very techno-savvy they are! Little smarties!!! I’ll have to check out this app ?

  7. I don’t have kids yet but will definitely pass this on to my momma friends! I know a lot of them are in the same mindset as you re: kids and tech.
