Getting together with friends and family is one of the best parts of the holiday season especially at the Keg Steakhouse + Bar. For some, the holiday season is a gentle reminder of gratitude, hope, and perseverance.
The woman who you see in these photos is much stronger then the weak little girl she used to be.
How we do Christmas
With each and every Christmas that our family celebrates, I’m always brought back to this place of thankfulness.
A holiday that we would have never been able to celebrate, due to our unfortunate circumstances, is now one of my favourites.
Not because of the Christmas trees, beautiful lights or even the presents. But, of the memories, that Christmas brings our family.
You see, my family has spent countless of Christmas without those things. So if you ever took them away, it truly wouldn’t impact how we do things.
Instead of the glitz and glamour that most people love, we prefer to do things a bit simpler. We focus on laughter, making memories and of course, the food.
Making Memories with The Keg Steakhouse + Bar
If you would have asked my family fifteen years ago where we would be in 2017, we most likely wouldn’t have even acknowledged the question. We’ve spent plenty of Christmases at our local soup kitchens and shelters.
Never in a million years did we think that we’d be having to sit down dinners at the Keg Steakhouse + Bar.
The holidays were always tough for us because we were always the kids that went without. After many years of hardship, we are finally past the point of sadness. That’s why I love bringing my family to the Keg Steakhouse + Bar, to celebrate our happiness.

I always end up getting the Prime Rib. Or maybe the NY Strip. As the “classic” with the Caesar salad and such.

Bearnaise sauce! I switch up my steak but always order bearnaise to go with it.
I love the Prime Rib and it’s what I get every time. Sometimes they have a special that has seafood on top which is so yummy. I would love to win as I love The Key so much.
