Hey there loves!!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend! It’s been a rough one for us. Abel has been literally whining for 48 hours straight. He’s just getting over a flu and is hanging off me like a little monkey. The weather today was surprisingly warm and thank goodness we didn’t have to watch Jayden’s soccer game in the rain!
I jokingly call Vancouver “raincouver” because it is constantly raining. It doesn’t matter what season of the year we are in, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will rain at least once ! Going back to work as brought 6am mornings and exhaustion. Thankfully, I was able to get an hour to myself to snap some photos with my bestie who works two blocks from me *Happy Dance*.
I was sent items from RubyClaire Boutique in exchange for an honest review, please read my Disclaimer page for further information.
My style hasn’t changed much since having Abel. I still enjoy wearing pants rather than skirts, loose over form fitting, and being comfortable is most important for me.
Now with my “new” mom bod, I tend to shy away from pieces that scream “Hey, look at me!” especially at work. I do think though, that these two pieces from RubyClaire are just right. A) because I love the fact that I can wear this Red Plaid Tunic open or closed and B) These High Waisted Leather Leggings are seriously so comfy.I would also like to add that they hold my “mommy tummy” in very nicely. Can I get a Hallelujah!
I was pleasantly surprised when I received my items from RubyClaire. The prices are definitely right, the clothing are well made and moreover, they are trendy! I rotate these two pieces into my work outfits often and I am constantly getting asked where they’re from. It’s your turn to own some items from RubyClaire Boutique. I have team up with them to giveaway a $50 shop credit. All the details can be found over on my Instagram page. Thank you and Good Luck my loves!!!

Burp Necessity REVIEW + GIVEAWAY
When Abel was born, I thought it would be exactly (or easier) the same when I had Jayden. I was so wrong. Not only are the experiences the complete opposite but I also had to relearn how to be a mom to a baby.
One major difference was that Abel was diagnosed with baby reflux. Reflux is the word to describe what happens when the stomach contents (food or milk) come back up into the mouth. Baby reflux happens because the babies digestive system hasn’t properly developed yet. When the babies stomach is full they tend to burp and spit up, which is normal. However, if your baby is projectile vomiting, constantly feeding and not gaining any weight then it’s probably reflux.
With every feed, I would use a new burping cloth. I probably used 5 a day! Abels reflux was that bad! When I would burp Abel, he would miss the burping cloth and I would end up with puke all over my clothes! The worse was when I had to burp Abel in public, I would literally have to pack extra clothes just in case because I didn’t want to walk around in public smelling like throw up.
Alas, I came across www.burpnecessity.com (on Instagram of course) and found my solution to all that laundry !
Burp Necessity, was created by Kathy Fitzgerald, who was sick and tired of using small, unflattering and inconvenient burp cloths that never stayed on. These burp shawls are not only trendy, but actually do their job. The burp shawls, sit on both my shoulders, covering my upper back( I’m 5’3 tall) as well as the front of my chest and then some. T O N S of coverage that isn’t offered by normal burping cloths (usually just one shoulder).
All Burpshawls, are handmade in Seattle, Washington, with 100% soft minky polyester. The trim is 50/50 cotton/poly and is prewashed to prevent shrinkage.
TIP: Simply reverse the Burpshawl and use the Ivory minky fabric side for a second look! The fabric is super soft against your babies skin!
I seriously wish I came across @burpnecessity during pregnancy because I would have 100% put their burpshawls on my baby registry and could have avoided all that stinky and dirty laundry!
Because I love Burp Necessity and their multi-functional burpshawls so much, I’ve partnered with them and we’re giving away a burpshawl away to one of my lucky readers!! That’s a $34 USD value! Please enter through the rafflecopter below!
