I received some of these items from Chi Chi London Clothing in exchange for an honest review. Please read my Disclaimer Page for more information.
The first thing I thought when I opened up my package from Chi Chi London was “Oh Em Gee” it is soooo girly! I mean really girly. There was so much personality to this dress that I almost wanted to send it back and stick to what I know. Then, I remembered that I went with Niomi because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. I rarely do this, I stick to my neutrals, blacks, grays and whites. I prefer to call it the “wanna-be trendy goth but can’t make the commitment” wardrobe.
So with excitement, I pulled the dress over my head, took a look at myself in the mirror and said, “you can do this“. The plan was to wear the dress to the Rihanna concert and I sure in hell wasn’t about to back down from a promise, especially one that I  had made to myself. Life is about taking risks! This mama is feeling pretty with Chi Chi London Niomi !
I styled my Niomi dress with a leather jacket, Doc Martins, and my clutch from Leader Bag & Co. I decided to pair the dress with hints of leather. I wasn’t ready to take the dive into heels, gold, and colours. Baby steps, Baby steps.
My favorite thing about this dress is the scoop back. It shows off my tattoos perfectly. I don’t really get the chance to show them off., so whenever the chance comes up, I do. If you are curious, the writing says “Two hearts beat as one” and the one on my right shoulder is a climbing lion. The writing represents my bond with Jayden and the Lion represents my Zodiac sign (I’m a Leo).
A couple things, I wasn’t prepared for was the tulle and sequins. I knew that Niomi was going to give me a mini heartache when I saw her because this girl cannot take so much puff. Then again, I knew what I signed up for. The description on the site said, “fully lined, meshed underskirt, sequins, special occasion party dress”.  She did not disappoint!
Chi Chi London provides you with some fabulous options. If you like Niomi but aren’t too thrilled with the colour you can go with Kizzy , she has a lower back and comes in the colour, I absolutely love, black.
At the end of the end of the night, I was feeling good !!  I had a handful of girls that come up to me and complimented me on my outfit! It was so nice to hear! Stepping out of my convert zone for just a night, made this mama feel pretty and beautiful. I am working on self love and  I for sure felt it that night. It’s all about finding that dress that makes you feel confident as women, as a mama, as a person.
