As I enter the third trimester of my third pregnancy, I’m noticing that the subtle changes that are talked about early on are becoming more apparent. My hips are getting wider, my thighs are getting thicker and my ankles are becoming one with my feet. Learning to love your legs during pregnancy is easier said than done.

#LoveYourLegs

Leg cramps, varicose veins, swollen feet, are just a few symptoms that come along with pregnancy. Though, some mama’s do get lucky and avoid these all together, most of us don’t.

I have accepted my pregnancy body and all that comes with it. However, with all the extra weight that I’m carrying around, it’s not wonder why my feet are swollen and my legs are achy. Especially after a long day at work.

Here are 5 Ways to #LoveYourLegs during pregnancy.

Buy yourself a new pair of shoes

Not any pair of shoes, the kind that will balance that ever growing belly of yours! Memory Foam is a plus!

Foot/Leg Massages & Pedicures

As that belly grows, you are going to want to sit back and relax. Bending over to paint your own toenails will become a struggle. Spoiling yourself with a fresh pedicure and  foot and leg massage is a great way to love your legs!

Consume lots of fluids

This may not come as a surprise, but during your pregnancy you will need to consume tons of fluid. Specifically water. Why ? Dehydration worsens swelling.

Lather and Shave

I know, I know, a daunting task during pregnancy, but that shouldn’t stop you from showing those legs the love they deserve. The Schick® Intuition® Island Berry™ razor is formulated with Açai Berry extract for a luscious and fragrant shaving experience. It has the shave cream right on the razor so you can lather and shave in one easy step!

The razor’s pivoting head and four blades are surrounded by a Skin Conditioning Solid™ to moisturize skin during shaving leaving your skin smooth to the touch. SO easy.

Cleanse and Moisturize with AVEENO®

Did you know that new  Daily Moisturizing Vanilla & Oats Yogurt Body Wash is formulated with Active Naturals ® Oatmeal and nutrient-rich yogurt, this unique formula helps revitalize your dry skin and leaves it feeling moisturized for an enriching experience in your shower.  Well now you do! I like to finish off my routine with the AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Sheer Hydration Lotion. It dries feathery light so it makes it my ideal summer time body lotion – It doesn’t leave me feeling sticky like some creams do!

TIP: Before shaving, cleanse skin using a moisture-rich body wash and gently buff away dead skin particles with a loofa to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Bonus Tip:

Show them off

No time to be shy, the best way to love your legs is by showing them off. What’s more attractive than confidence? Those legs are carrying you and that baby around so let them be seen!

You can purchase the products mentioned in my #LoveYourLegs routine at your local Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix. Don’t forget to LoveYourLegs!

Love this! However I was trying so hard to hide my legs by the end of my pregnancy because I was so swollen due to preeclampsia! I did buy a new pair of shoes but it was some moccasin slippers from Walmart haha! That’s all my sausage feet would fit into!
